Birthdays

If your child has a birthday during their time with us, please let us know, as we like to celebrate such occasions. We will be happy to provide a cake for them to share with their friends at a cost of £12.00. Please advise us if you require a cake to be ordered or you are welcome to bring a cake that can be given with a Happy Birthday song after tea.

Telephone

All children are encouraged to send a postcard home. We would be grateful if you would refrain from telephoning your child as experience has shown that children settle in better if undisturbed by personal calls especially in the first few days. It is also difficult to get children to the telephone during their activities or when riding. We are always available if you wish to ask about your child or check on their safe arrival. If you need to contact your child the telephone number is 01227 700238 and the best time for calling is between 7.30pm and 8.30 pm. Please be aware that the children are often not in the house during the evening (especially during the summer), as they are participating in activities outside. Mobile phones must be left at home or handed in on arrival.

Discipline and Responsibility

Holidaying with, and meeting new children, is a valuable part of the holiday experience. All children have an equal right to enjoy themselves and we keep a close eye on teasing, bullying or any other anti-social behaviour that may spoil a child's enjoyment. Our experience over the years means this rarely becomes a problem, but please tell your children that they must speak to an Instructor or Supervisor if this should occur. If your child tells you of any problems please do not hesitate to contact us directly so that we can take immediate steps to remedy the situation.

When necessary, we will be firm with children who are jeopardising the enjoyment or safety of themselves or others. If problem behaviour is persistent or serious, we will contact the parent or guardian. We reserve the right to send any child home immediately at parent or guardian expense and to charge for any additional costs incurred.
No refunds will be made for any children sent home for anti-social or behavioural reasons.

Safety

We pride ourselves as being the longest established specialist children’s riding holiday centre in the UK. We have a wealth of experience with children and strive to make sure your child has a safe, instructive and HAPPY time with us. All staff at the centre hold CRS checks and first-aid certificates.

The team at Mannix stud holidays and the horses & ponies look forward to welcoming you for fun, ponies and friends.
